Chief Appraiser Codi McCarn recently announced a vacancy on the Mills County Appraisal District Appraisal Review Board. The ARB hears appeals from property owners in Mills County on their value proposed by the District and renders their decision based on the evidence presented.
Ms. McCarn encouraged anyone who is interested to come by the District office for an application for the position. Applicants will be presented to the Board of Directors in December. The Board makes the decision regarding who to appoint.
A daily stipend is paid to ARB members for their time in training and participation in hearings. The time commitment is normally 2-5 days annually from June to August.
